Greetings All,
I am faced with some tough choices and have decided to sell my last two reel to
reel tape decks. Both of these have been professionally serviced, are complete
and fully functional. I have manuals for each.
Revox B77. I have two 'new' hubs for the ten inch reels. I opened the sealed
plastic and put them on the deck myself. they alone sell for $80+. The tape
splicing unit, often missing or removed and sold separately, is present. I will
include the original Revox metal ten inch take up reel, two new Maxell high
quality tapes and two new high quality Ampex tapes. Firm at $450 and you pick it
up or pay for packing/shipping. I already have a heavy box for it.
Teac A-5500. This is the factory refurbished unit with the flaws of the original
release fixed. This is as close to a professional studio deck as you get,
without getting one. It has built-in Dolby, three motors, handles up to a seven
inch reel and is solenoid operated. It is terrific! I will include several take
up reels, and four brand new Scotch industrial grade seven inch tapes. These are
the blackish/gray oxide, not the cheaper regular reddish oxide. Firm: $295 and
you pick it up or pay for packing and shipping.
If these two decks sell, I will then sell all remaining new blank Scotch
industrial seven inch tapes and Scotch regular tapes and Maxell tapes.
I also have a Teac AN-180 Dolby and equalization deck with manual and
calibration cassette tape. this sold new for $350 and is in excellent condition.
It has been professionally checked. It will permit recording and playback of
Dolby on decks that lack it, such as the Revox B77. Plus much more. This is near
studio quality. Firm: $125 and you pick it up or pay packing and shipping.
