I've decided to sell my Hallicrafters FPM-200 Transceiver and matching
factory Speaker/Power Supply (P-200AC). Also included is the full factory
Owner's/Service Manual (larger of the two manuals which were available in '61).
Serial Number of Transceiver is: 400000809554
Serial Number of Speaker/PS is: 700001806589

Faceplates of both are free of defects - no traces of letter rubbings, and
all original knobs show no signs of wear.
Cases of both are free of dents, rust, and corrosion.
Cases of both have minor blemishes, and an overspray would have both looking
near mint.

This particular FPM-200 originally belonged to Ernie Necker, W9SF, who was
the Midwest Sales Manager for Hallicrafters from the late 50's to about 1970.
Ernie passed away about 1980, and this 200 has been in storage since about
1985.
A few days ago, I connected this unit to a Variac and brought it up to speed
over a few hours. All functions were checked last weekend, and everything
seems to work as it should. It shows around 60-70 watts out on 10, 15, & 20; and
75-85 watts out on 80 & 40. Receive & transmit audio sounds quite good, but
there's a noticeable CW chirp (warbly chirp ?), especially noticeable on 80 &
40.

As soon as I get my camera back from my daughter (Wednesday or Thursday),
I'll take a few photos, and send them to anyone interested.

Apologies for saying this, but I'm uncertain as to what I should ask for a
selling price. What I would like to do is simply make it available to the
highest offer received within the next couple of weeks. Payment will be by
whatever means convenient to the buyer.

I've had a lot of experience packing and shipping rare museum pieces and know
how to pack for unscathed survival during transport to any place in the
world. I would also consider delivery within three or four hours of Northeast
Indiana.

Thanks for any consideration.
Best regards,
Ron Hensel, K9ZE
