I am offering for sale or trade an unmodified TU-7B in good condition.

Some paint chips on the front panel. Some minor surface rust on the
outer case. Inside looks new.

Frequency range 4500-6200 KC.
Serial No. 94747
made by General Electric

For those not familiar with this unit, it has a 2500:1 thumwheel vernier
used for M.O. Tuing. It also has a P.A. Tuning control using a nice 3:1
national velvet style vernier with large 2 inch knob and dial plate.
The front panel also has a heavy duty, six position, ceramic bandswitch.

Inside it has a couple of large air variables and one small air
variable.
The large caps are 300 and 200pf. The small variable is about 25pf.
All variables are constructed with ceramic insulators, ball bearings and
plate spacing of about 1/8th inch.

It also has a couple of ceramic, 2 inch dia., six inch long coil forms.
A couple of nice ceramic shaft couplers, an RF choke, and a couple of
mica transmitting caps are also included. All the internal parts are
mounted to the chassis with 3/8th inch square ceramic standoff
insulators.

It has enough parts to build a nice linear amp or antenna tuner.

I am looking for reasonable cash offers or trade for ARC-5 receivers in
good condition. 'Good condition' meaning complete, only minor mods, and
repairable if not in working condition.

I will also consider trading for lower end boatanchor receivers like the
S-38, S-53 and similar.

Regards,
Frank Kamp
