Yes, I know it's a scam!

In short:
I placed some adverts for Collins 75A-4 on some of the ham swap web pages.
Have been in correspondence for a week with a buyer who claims to be in UK
and wants to have her 'client' send me a cashiers check for $2k excess
of the
asking price. I am then to wire the excess to her 'husband' who is to
make arrangements
for the unit to be picked up.

How this works is:
1)The check is bad but good enough to fool the bank.
2)The check is drawn on a bank that does not have an office where I am.
3)The 'lady' will fall into dire ciscumstance shortly after the check
arrives hoping to
cause me to trust the banks judgement and wire her the money.
4)The bank WILL correct their 'error' in their favor.

There's little room for recourse.
1)Three parties involved in addition to the seller.
2) The money is to go overseas by a no-recourse payment system (western
union).

So be aware guys.
The scammers are back.
