I have an excellent example of an all original EF Johnson KW Matchbox in
very good to excellent condition.  There are a few very small scratches
which are almost un-noticable.  This is the later color scheme. The insides,
knobs and meter face are unmarked.  The relay is still inside although I
believe it has been jumpered.  This one has the SWR meter and all functions
properly.  The remote SWR sensor is not the original Johnson one... but is a
replacement bridge that is wired as the original and it works perfectly.
This is a supurb tuner and if you are running balanced line these link
tuners have proven to be the best and lowest loss tuners available.  The KW
tuner was rated at 1 KW AM which is easily 3 KW SSB... they are substantial
in size and the components inside are the finest that was available....
truely the heaviest built amateur tuner I've ever seen.
