For Sale some VHF AM FAA stuff :
QTY.3 of Maint. Transceivers FA8960 / TRX-101
QTY.2 of " " FA8960A / TRX-101A
These all solid state AM transceivers are synthesized with a keypad entry on front panel. They cover the VHF AM aircraft band. TX output of around 5 watts or so.The receiver is sensitive at about .2 uV and has squelch. There is a tuning meter for signal strength and TX output. Runs on 120 VAC or 13.5 VDC. For a picture and info look at the aircraft radio section on Fair Radio's site. Both models look the same externally, however the modules will not interchange between TRX-101 and TRX-101A, the difference is in the connectors. Both receive and transmit tested, however I have no technical data yet for type of microphone, connectors { military, Cinch type} for mic. or power. One of the TRX-101's has a bad tuning meter, there are a couple of bad segments on the display of a couple of TRX-101A's { the unit will still work on the freq. entered, it just not display a couple of numbers}.
I would like to move them to 144.400 AM but need help with figuring out the synthesizer { late 70's design.} Look at the Fair Radio price for reparable, these are checked out and clean for 150.00 each. Weigh about 20 lb.each.
QTY 4 of AN / GRR-23 VHF AM receivers
These all solid state receivers are modular and run on 120 VAC or 24 VDC. Audio out is 600 ohms with 2 separate channels of audio. Have squelch. Single freq. crystal control { ICM can supply crystal for these}. Units are checked, clean and tuned up on 144.400 { less crystal}. Very sensitive at .1 to .2 uV plus very nice tunable dual section cavity filter in front end.Standard rackmount , 4" tall. Have a few shipping boxes still for these. 75.00 each.
Thanks, Byron WA5THJ.
