Hi.
FIRST: PLEASE READ ALL THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY. What I'm interested in for
trades is at the end. REPLY OFF LIST!

Due to size/weight of the unit, I prefer PICKUP ONLY in Merced, Central
California and pick-ups will receive first priority over all other offers.
The ONLY way I will consider shipping the unit is 'IF' the buyer provides
PROPER shipping materials and assumes all liability for the unit (at about
46 lbs "unboxed" it is heavy and I DON'T want to see it damaged).

Now, the particulars.

I have a VERY nice Pioneer RT-901 Reel-Reel recorder that I'll swap for
anything "radio" that interests me, especially nice general coverage
receivers etc. This is a professional unit that will complement the shack
of any boatanchor receiver enthusiast or Vintage stereo enthusiast alike.
While it is Rack mount it will sit just fine on a table without a rack.

      11. Output level control.
      12. Dimmer switch (for displays).
      13. EIA Rack mounting. Gold anodized aluminum face.
      14. Power consumption, 166 Watts.
      15. Dimensions in inches, 18 7/8 wide, 13 3/8 high, 12 1/2 deep.
      16. Weight, 46 pounds, shipping weight 56 pounds.

CONDITION: Unit is immaculate (I don't like to use "mint" loosely), I see
no scratches on the brushed aluminum etc. It was serviced about a year ago
when new capstan pressure rollers and belt were installed, fully
lubricated/cleaned etc and has had few hours since. Heads, particularly the
record head does show some wear. These are still available from Pioneer OR
can be relapped to new specifications for about $45.00 per head
(recommended). It does work as it sits!

What you get: The recorder, the owners manual WITH schematic, an empty 7"
reel, lots of fun 8^)

Go to these sites for more information, a picture (of the identical RT-909).
The "used" price shown on the first site is for an "unserviced" unit. I'd
classify mine as "partially serviced" since it was serviced last year but
does have some head wear.

NOW, WHAT I'M INTERESTED IN! (For the 'RIGHT' equipment I'll throw in a
Sony 100W/channel stereo system with separate dual Cassette recorder, tuner
etc)

1. Good general coverage receivers of similar value, ESPECIALLY if they
cover the longwave down to 100KHz and have a CW filter. BA's welcome.
2. Timewave DSP-599ZX DSP unit, other DSP's like the Timewave DSP-59+ or
MFJ unit AND something else.
3. GOOD test equipment like a "Premium" Frequency counter(550MHz MINIMUM,
1Hz display resolution, accurate 10MHz timebase), possibly other test gear.
4. LIKE NEW Dual band (2m 70CM) mobile FM rig WITH memories, PL etc AND a
dual band antenna that I can somehow attach to my mobile home roof (mag
mount or?) MUST be very good condition and complete (mic etc).
