  Here is the unit used in many 911 communication dispatch centers to record
up to 24 channels of radio and telephone inputs, all on dual 4mm DAT tapes
and internal hard drive. This unit is a very high-end digital recorder that
cannot be adaquately described in this forum. If you run multiple scanners
(as in mil-comms etc) or have the need to record 24 channels at once, this
is the unit for you. It sells for $12,000 new. The DAT tapes may be swapped
out for DVDRAM recorders. It has a built-in Backup UPS. Please see the link
