[ForSale-Swap] Help Needed with Monitor Solution

Hello Everyone,
I have just purchased a used Sony PVM-1910 multi-
sync monitor with the intention of using it with my 
computer.  Since I have never hooked up a monitor 
other than plugging a vga or svga monitor into the 
monitor connector on a computer, I admit to being at a 
bit of a loss here.

Since my computer has a built-in SVGA connector on 
the motherboard, I will have to install some type of 
graphics card that has the proper output connectors for 
the new monitor.

I would appreciate hearing from anyone that has a 
similar setup regarding the following areas of concern:


1.  What graphics card would you recommend? Must be 
a PCI card, that's all left in my computer.

2.  What is the correct name for the type of cable 
needed?  It looks like the connections would be similar 
to a parallel port printer cable, but I am sure the wiring 
layout is different.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
