I am seeking to do a swap of my Heathkit SB-220 linear amplifier
and my E.F. Johnson Viking II transmitter for an E.F. Johnson
Thunderbolt linear amplifier. The SB-220 linear amplifier is in
excellent cosmetic condition with a few scuff marks on one side of the
front edge of the amplifier. The SB-220 has had Harbach modifications
done to it and works great with 1300 watts PEP output. There are 2
owners manuals that come with the linear amplifier. The Viking II has
been recapped and the tubes were all checked and are in excellent
condition. The cosmetic condition is pretty good with some paint chips
here and there which have been touched up. I got 400 watts PEP on AM
and 200 watts on CW output. There is a photo copied owners manual that
comes with the Viking II. Also an outboard matching VFO 122 which is in
very good working order and cosmetically in pretty good shape. The VFO
122 has been calibrated with this Viking II.
In return I would like a Thunderbolt linear amplifier that works,
that is not modified and kept in pretty much the original condition,
with tubes and all inside, without solid state modifications. Also with
original knobs and cosmetically in good shape without a lot of paint
missing.
I live in the Chicago metro area and would be willing to do a swap
or even shipping if necessary.
