[ForSale-Swap] FS OR TRADE: 2 IBM MICRO DRIVES

I am offering for sale or trade the following:

(1) 1 ea,  340 MB IBM Micro drive.
(2) 1 ea, 1 GB IBM Micro drive.

Comes with 1 PCMCIA adaptor for laptop use.

These drives are the same configuration as a Compact 
flash card and can be used in anything that will accept a 
compact flash card.  Computer, mp3 player ((***see 
note below**), digital camera etc.

I purchased these drives used, and planned on using 
them as storage for a portable mp3 player.  The 
paperwork that came with the mp3 player indicated that 
I could use either a compact flash card or a micro drive.  
However, the very small print also said that because of 
power requirements, a microdrive could only be used in 
the mp3 player if it was connected to a computer via a 
usb connection.  This shot holes in my planned usage 
and was a fairly expensive lesson for me.

Just to check these drives out, I put the 340 meg drive 
in my digital camera and it formatted with no problems, 
giving me a choice of 999 basic quality pictures, 682 
normal quality pictures and 364 fine quality pictures. 
This lends itself to a very extended photo shoot.  I can't 
even imagine me taking 682 pictures, and besides, I 
already have sufficient compact flash storage for my 
photographic needs.

The 1 GB micro drive would not format in my camera.  
Nikon indicates that there is a limitation on micro drive 
size used in their cameras but they don't say how much 
is too much.  So lacking any other means of checking it 
out, and lacking the desire to purchase any more 
computer gear,  I am offering it at almost no cost ( you 
will be buying a "pig in a poke" because I dont know if it 
works or not, so there is no warranty expressed or 
implied.

I just checked prices on these things and you can buy a 
new 340 meg micro drive for about $150.00 to $175.00 
and the 1 GB drive for $200 plus change.

If anyone is interested I will sell both for $175.00 
including insured/priority mail to anywhere in the lower 
48, a little more for Alaska and Hawaii.

US only, please no foreign shipments.

I will also trade these drives for something I can use. 
Electronics, photo stuff, radio stuff etc.
