Ahoy Hams:
Giveaway
"Dumb" VDT (video display terminal) monitor terminal with
keyboard. Manufactured by AT&T. Has the 25 pin RS-232
jacks on rear. The monochrome CRT has perfect brightness,
focus, and contrast. I used it full-time in place of a
computer on a packet TNC setup for a VHF DX packet cluster
connection. The beauty of that arrangement was that I
didn't have to tie-up a computer to watch the DX packet
cluster.
To go with that working unit, I have an identical VDT
(less keyboard) for spare parts; e.g.CRT.
Both terminals would be difficult to pack securely so
they are available if you want to drop by and pick
the pair up.
I no longer use a TNC, so I don't need the VDTs any
longer.

Microwave Dish (cheap almost free)
Also available for pickup is a heavy duty microwave
dish. Here are the details.
10 foot 9 inch diameter parabolic dish antenna that is
thick walled fiberglass or specialized plastic. It is not
at all damaged and it was for high-wind service (hurricanes).
It is stamped ML44 on each of the four pie-shaped sections
that bolt together. It was utilized in a 4gHz point-to-point
microwave system.
The labeling on the gunplexor read: R.L. Drake, model 2574,
low noise amp, 3.7-4.2 Ghz.
I purchased new galvanized bolts, lockwashers, and nuts to
fasten the pie-sections together. It can be disassembled and
transported in a 5' x' 8' trailer or similar. $20 if you
want the new galvanized hardware. The dish is FREE if you
don't want the hardware. You pick up at my house and I'll
help you disassemble it and load it up.
Located in Beverly Hills, FL near Crystal River, Citrus County.
