Selling because card was not suitable for my project...
This card is for mobile wireless internet anywhere on SPRINTs network.
144kbit/sec maximum speed (CDMA2000 1xRTT packet switched, not to
be confused with the 14.4kbit/sec circuit switched service)
SPRINT sells the card for $300.
I want $110 including postage.
SPRINT charges $100 for the card if you sign a two year contract for
the service. Early cancellation is $350. So for a short develomnet
project, it makes more sense to buy the card outright ($300 vs $450).
It's a deal if you do not want to be tied to a contract. For example,
if you're going on a trip, you can have the service activated for the
duration of your trip rather than being locked in to the monthly fees.
It's also handy if you have SPRINT cellular service available but do
not have access to high speed internet. Speed is comparable to BRI
ISDN's 128kbit/sec.
Service fees range from $40/month for a fixed amount of data to $99
for unlimited usage. www.sprintpcs.com for plan details.
Works with laptop running WIN98/2000/ME/XP and having a PC card slot.
(type II PCMCIA)
Works with Windows pocket PC 2000/2002 devices including IPAQ,
Jornada 560, Cassieopia E200, etc.
Will work with Linux but requires some expertise to set up and is
not supported. Under LInux it appears as multiport serial card and you
run PPP over one port and if desired (not necessary monitor status over
another port. Beyond this little bit of information, you're on your
own with Linux.
See photos of the actual card...

Will consider swapping card and some $ for an Icom PCR-1000.
