Hello all,

I just lost my job of 16 years due to the slump in the economy,
(they simply eliminated the department that I was in),
and I'm selling off some big ticket items to stow cash in the
back and try to keep my house. My prices are towards the
upper edge, I know. But I am really getting concerned and
every buck counts. If you are really interested, let's talk. But I
don't think I'm 'out of line' on any items here.

I'm looking at this time for LOCAL PICKUP ONLY in Tacoma,
Washington. If no one comes forward locally I'll put them on
Ebay and deal with shipping at that time. I really don't want
to ship right now if I can help it.

I can email photos if really necessary, but since I'm looking for
a LOCAL buyer I figure it's more practical to visit my shack
and see them in person. But if you live say 100 miles away
and MIGHT want to drive in, I can send photos of what you
want to see. Trying to keep this simple.

1. Heathkit SB-110 6-meter transceiver, less power supply. I
bought this 4 years ago intending to get on 6-meters and just
never did. It worked perfectly at that time, with full output and
good sensitivity. I have not fired it up since. Looks very nice,
and is all original with no mods visible. Good rig, I think.
$275 - exactly what I paid for it, so maybe it's a bargain nowadays.
Pickup only in Tacoma, WA. I MIGHT have the manual - gotta look.
I also probably can dig up a supply for it (at the 'going rate' for
such things - $65 or so or whatever it is these days).

2. Heathkit DX-100 - prettiest DX-100 face I've ever seen. This is
a really nice transmitter, and works very very well. Rock stable,
great CW note, and although I've never tried in AM I have no doubts
that works too. Has original case. Light corrosion on the copper
chassis, but otherwise straight and original. All original knobs,
including the red ones. $300 pickup ONLY. Again, I might have
a manual for this too. I have this paired with my R-388/URR in a
matching DX-100 case, and it's my 'poormans gold dust twins'.
I'm not ready to sell the R-388, but I'm definitlely a poor man now!.
(The R388 is awesome! Neatest receiver I own) Great radios, both.

3. Collins S-Line. I bought this from my Elmer and good friend W7UD,
Hank Perozzo, last year when he sold his house to move into a retirement
home. I meant to 'keep it forever' but I also meant to keep my house too.
The house wins, S-line loses. I have not had this on the air since I got
it from Hank - but it was a 'daily driver' for him for 20 years and well
maintained. Here's the lineup: 32S-3 transmitter with 75S-3B receiver.
The receiver HAS BEEN MODIFIED to essentially make it a 75S-3C model.
Hank ordered the extra crystal board and added a front panel switch to
select xtal board 2, which is fully crystalled for all the 'good' shortwave
bands, including 30-meters CW. Comes with the matching speaker
power supply as expected. I do have the manuals, with Hanks notes in
them. You will want to see these radios in person, I think, as there are
little 'Hankisms' I want to show you. Oh, the receiver has a whole bunch
of solid state tube replacements that were all the rage years ago, and
it has all the filters, including the 200-hz (might even be the 150 - not
sure)
CW filter. Again, I paid Hank $1250 for it last year and only expect to
get the same. If I'm crazy high, let me know, but I think that sounds about
right. Again, pickup only in Tacoma WA.

4. Very nice Drake C-line - Xmtr, Rcvr, and MS-4c with PS. Excellent
condition,
and has the CW filter. Full output, tight alignment, no problems. No mods
that
I am aware of, and all original. Forgot who I got this from - a guy named
Randy
in the DC area as I recall, who sells lots of Drake stuff, or did anyway.
Bought it
in 1997 for $600, but I think I want to try to get $650 for the station if I
can.

5. I have MANY MANY other radios. Litterally hundreds. Many many
Heathkits,
almost any you can name in the SB era. Also lots of Hallicrafters,
Hammarlund
and a vintage National from the dark ages, with matching speaker. But with
no job
and slim pickens some of them have to go to put cash away to try to keep
my house. Locals - come over and let's talk. You can see a good number of
these rigs at www.boatanchors.com - not all there, as the pictures are
before
my divorce of 1998 and the 'first big' selloff of gear then. Seems I just
wasn't
meant to meander into old age as a boatanchor collector.

Email and I'll arrange to have you come over. Guess I can say I'm home
every
day nowadays, emailing off resumes and trying not to get gloomy :-) I live
out in University Place, on the West side of Tacoma. Lotsa coffee always
available, and good stogies are always welcome :-) Take care guys,

David Ellison WB7AWK
