Hello to all.
I ran into something that may be helpful to you.
A farm implement supply  like "Tractor Supply" on Elm Road in Warren
Ohio carries a round insulation rod for electric fence use.
It seems it would make an excellent insulated shaft or a spreader for a
quad in that it seemed to be of epoxy fiberglass and about 4 ft long.
