Offering for sale a near mint Ameritron AL80 retrofitted and dedicated to
6m operation. Runs a new Eimac 3-500Z at 500W+ output with 100W of drive.
 Unit's exterior  looks original  except that the front panel  bandswitch
now controls the tuned input for a perfect match.  The amp has been
recapped with 330 at 450VDC Nichicons and all  RF caps are mica. The voltage
of the replacement antenna relay  (12VDC)  is compatible with any of the
new solid state antenna changeover circuits. This unit has been
completely redesigned for broadbanded 6m operation with a new plate and
antenna loading capacitor.  All complementary RF deck components are new
and specifically designed for 6m ops. When chasing DX, band excursions of
1mHz can be made without returning. The unit will operate only on 220VAC.
 The amp can be switched to standbye with the OEM front panel rocker
switch. A dynamite amp in a small package. $675+ shipping (or pickup in
