I have an Echo PC speech synthesizer made by Street Electronics I no longer
need. It sold for $225 originally. It is complete with AC power pack, RS/232
serial cable to COM#1 on the computer, software and print manual.
This is a serial device and must connect to an IBM compatible computer on the
serial port. The baud rate is dip switch selectable.
This will NOT make the computer talk! It is the device through which the screen
reading software, not included, speaks. The two together comprise the speech
system.
It will work with either DOS or Windows.
I want this to go to a blind person, legally or total, or somebody who is print
disabled. If you run DOS, the software is now free. It used to cost $450! The
Windows software ranges in price from $595 - $795.
The price is $25 shipped to the continental USA.
