Thanks very much to all of you who attended the Orlando
HamCation this past weekend. At this point, every indication
is that it was larger than last year. Please mark your
calendar now for next year -- February 11, 12, and 13, 2011.
Not on Valentines Day next year!

I wish we could have controlled the weather, especially on
Friday with the downpour of rain. It was interesting to
note that those from South Florida, and even Central Florida,
thought it was really cold. Those from Minnesota or Virginia
thought it was fine.

We had a lot of very positive comments. Most vendors in the
swap building reported record sales, with most selling all
they brought, or very close to it. One person said they had
brought 15 "major radios" to sell, and had sold 13 of them
by Friday afternoon. Some even went home and got more things
to sell! This was true if they were selling ham gear. The
people reporting average sales were the computer vendors,
or those selling jewelry. Is it possible that HamCation is
going back a "real hamfest" selling ham equipment?

Thanks to all who attended. See you there next year.

Thanks.

73,

Ken, W8EK
