Dear Polk County Amateurs, and Traveling HAMS, Dist 4 Rptr Coord and =
Asst Coord.,

This is to let you know Richard Rexroad, N4KEG, has put 444.775 back on =
the air
at full power, 125 watts @ 600' ASL, with wide area coverage again. HOW =
EVER,=20
due to the on going CTCSS STANDARD TONE INTERMOD that has plagued the=20
repeater for the last 5 months, the repeater is now under *DIGITAL =
PRIVATE LINE
or *DPL for short, and is effective immediately!!!

Please check your UHF gear to see if it is capable of DIGITAL TONE =
SQUELCH!!!

THE REPEATER IS NOT A CLOSED REPEATER!=20
AGAIN, IT IS <NOT> A CLOSED REPEATER.

*****************************************************************

IF YOU HAVE RADIO GEAR CAPABLE OF *"DPL"
please change your tone memory setting from
tone 127.3 Hz to digital 516 Normal (not inverted)

*****************************************************************

This tone has been INTERMOD FREE for more than 7 days now
and will remain as the primary tone for 444.775 Lakeland, Polk County.

Again the new tone for 444.775 is digital 516.

An update filing will be sent to the Florida Repeater Council DATABASE =
Director
Danna Rodakis, K4LK, to reflect this change for future ARRL RPTR DIR =
BOOKS.

*(dpl and digital private line are registered and or copy marks of =
Motorola, Inc,
and is worded here only to show that a digital tone property is required =
to
access the fore mentioned repeater only. This doe not imply that a =
person
MUST purchase or is REQUIRED to purchase from said company,
equipment for the use of this function. Nor does, Evans F. Mitchell, =
KD4EFM=20
take the responsibility of or liability for the functions of said mode =
on ANY=20
commercial or AMATEUR equipment. )

Sincerely,
Evans F. Mitchell
