The City of Tamarac Fire-Rescue Department and Tamarac C.E.R.T. is sponsoring 
a Technician Class Amateur Radio Class starting on Thursday April 11th.  

The class will meet seven consecutive Thursdays from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM and
will be held at the Broward Sheriff's Office District 7 on Pine Island Road,
between McNab Road and Southgate Blvd. 

The cost of the class is $27 and includes classroom instruction as well as 
your own ARRL course-book. 

This is an entry level class.  You do not need to be familiar with 
electronics or Amateur Radio to take this class.  All you need is an 
interest. Amateur Radio can be both a rewarding hobby and a means of 
communication in the event of a disaster or major emergency in which typical 
communication methods are not available.
