[Flexnet] Soundmodem Problem

I had to replace my motherboard and do a repair install of 
Win98SE and now I can't get  soundmodem running. When  try the 
diagnostics tab in soundmodemconfig I get an error "Cannot start 
audio IO". 

I'm using the same soundcard, but also have the motherboard 
sound enabled. The soundcard driver may not be exactly the same 
since I had trouble getting any sound device to work before I re-
installed Win98SE.

I do have AGWPE working now, but I did like to run Flex32 with 
UI-View as it seemed more stable than AGW.

Any ideas as to what I'm missing?
