Peter:
MFJ added a chip to do memory bank switching in the MFJ-1270C version...
Fix consists of unplugging this chip, and inserting a wire jumper into
socket between two pins...
I will forward exact info tonight from my home email address. Information
may be posted on www.northeastflexnet.org page, but I'm not certain..
As far as MFJ1270B model, it is absolutely compatable... Not certain of
what your seeing with pin count on memory chip... 6Pack and stock EPROM
are both 27256 devices... Could you be confusing the "State Machine" 2716
EPROM with the "Main Program" 27256 EPROM ?
If need to talk, you can reach me at home at (631) 427-6511 tonight...
Will be glad to help...
