Hi,
from my practice - volume level on Line in PC input is critical!!! for good
signal reading by souncard. There in GP is a graphical utility to set this
level correct.
You can do this in two ways - by the volume knob on TX (if you use the
external speaker output), or (if there is Line out output with constant
level), by trimpot. Signal level from PC to Tx is not so critical, because
most of TX have a built-in signal processor/kompressor. After all,it is
better also built a trimpot in the line. But most effective is using of a
hardware modem. For example a PIC type. It is low level cost and works very
good in all mods up to 9600.

Subject: [FlexNet] Connection lines btw Soundcard and Trcv

Hi
I built a T7F-70cm-Transceiver (optimized for 9k6) and would like to use
it together with my Soundcard and Flexnet. I will do the PTT-line via
the LPT-port.
My question concerns the NF-Signal-line and MOD-line between the
Soundcard and the Transceiver. Can I just connect them or do I have to
attenuate a signal?

My Trcv has the following data: NF-Output at a deviation of 3 kHz is 1
Vss. The Transmitter needs 400mVss to create a deviation of 3 kHz.

Thanks for any hints es vy 73
