Hello,

Great news. The communication systems at Indian River EOC are coming back
on line. Damage from the past hurricane season is almost repaired.
*	FPAC and BBS system is back on line and working better then before.
Thanks to Wayne, KA1VRF for his dedication and time in getting the system
operational.
*	The new HF antenna was installed on the tower today and is loading on
Amateur, MARS, CAP, and SHARES frequencies with no SWR problems. John, W4IVW
has done a great job in coordinating antenna needs and models for the ACS
program and Communication International Inc. As some of you may know we
hade damage to 17 of the 21 communication platforms during Charley, Frances
and Jeanne. At this time we are experimenting with antenna models that we
may install on the new EOC tower and look forward to testing them these
season.
*	SEDAN is operational and data communication between the State Warning
Point is back thanks to Tom, KD4NWO for his support with the system
management and equipment.
*	APRS is on line and operational at 120ft on a Comment GP-3. Do to damage
to the APRS system in the surrounding counties ACS has moved this system
from the 40ft tower location to its temporary location of 120ft to cover the
areas that are off line.
*	A new Davis weather station is being installed and talk about possibly
adding a UHF repeater with weather link on this site is in the works.

Some additional problems with UPS’s, networking and radio equipment were
discovered and I will be talking with county DEM in February to address
repairs and replacement of this hardware.

A thanks to WA4ASJ, KG4PAT, KD4UGF, W4POZ, KA1VRF, W4IVW, KB4PK and School
Board IT staff for coming out and helping with today’s projects.
