I have been in contact with several of our SFL Emergency Coordinators
and am happy to report that everyone I have talked to has reported their
counties are doing well and able to handle their communications with
local resources.
 
 
 
The only county that has made a request is Okeechobee and their request
is for four teams, with two people and one vehicle per team, for one day
to do "windshield surveys" on the affected area.  You will use the local
repeater, 147.090 MHz, for coordination.  Windshield survey means you do
not have to get out of your vehicle but just take notes and relay them
back to the EOC.
 
 
 
If you can volunteer for this please contact your county EC soon and he
will coordinate these efforts.  We do have a Tracker number for this
which I can give to your EC when he contacts me.
