Actually, the address is http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/options/flares
(you'll need your subscription e-mail address to access this page).
About halfway down that page, look for the section labeled
"Mail delivery" or "Set Digest Mode" (depending on which setting you
want to change), and select "disabled" (for mail delivery) or "On" (to
set digest mode). Then scroll to the bottom and click on "Submit My
Changes" to set your changes.
If you disable mail delivery, make sure you "enable" if later, so you
can get e-mail again. (Although why someone would not want to get
"emergency information", on an emergency information list, I don't know!)
And before anyone asks ... YES, this is an appropriate use for this
list! The list is intended to share information among Emergency
Communications groups AND to keep those groups informed as to what is
going on during actual events. The upcoming SET information is
"testing" this list, and those who rely on it to get information and
make their plans.
Instead of asking if it's appropriate, your "group" should be making
plans, based on the SET information provided ... either gearing up in
anticipation, or if you're in the affected area ... to participate!
Good Luck in the SET, and please share your results and observations
afterward, so others can learn and improve their plans.
