Karl KB1DSB Retires

Karl Zuege KB1DSB, Americas Chapter President, has decided to retire from
his duties as of Aug 1, 2015. The Americas Chapter Board of Directors
express our thanks to him for all the hard work he has done for the chapter
over the last year and a half and wish him good health and good DX in his
retirement.

As of Aug 1st 2015, Dennis Franklin K6DF will be "Acting" Americas Chapter
President. In the months ahead, the Board will search for a permanent
replacement for President, continue to expand the membership, and work to
increase participation on the CW bands.

I failed to ensure the time was right in the earlier post here regarding
GYFW.

I'm sorry. It was my responsibility to catch that and I just missed it.

The post said time 0000 Sat to 0000 SUN which would be all day UTC
Saturday. That is not right.

The correct day is Sunday, all day UTC. Per the guide on our main website:
"The activity will be held on the Third Sunday of every month. Operating
times will be 0001 UTC to 2400 UTC."

RFTB is a friendly QRP Sprint that is held on the 3rd Sunday evening of every month, and is sponsored by the Flying Pigs Amateur Radio Club, International. 

The sprint is the same time, ragardless of time change:
East Coast - 9:00 to 11:00 PM local time 
Midwest - 8:00 to 10:00 PM local time.
Mountains - 7:00 to 9:00 PM local time.
West Coast - 6:00 to 8:00 PM local time.
