NAQCC Sprint Tuesday night!

The Decmeber sprint is this coming Tuesday evening local time (December 9th,
EST - 8:30-10:30PM, CST - 7:30-9:30PM, MST - 6:30-8:30PM, PST - 5:30-7:30PM),
which translates as Wednesday, December 10th, 0130 to 0330Z in all cases.

Hello FISTS,,

Everyone deserves to hear a sideswiper at least once in his life.

I HATED the sound at first, but within a very few minutes it became easier
to copy, then it became friendly, like when you understand the verbal
melodies of New Orleans, Boston, New York, which can almost sound like a
foreign language, but isn't.

Soon it was in the hands of a expert a beautiful song that ai longed to
hear.

often have EU, AF, USA East South and West, South America.

We will be adding 4 new Sprints to our on-air activities starting in 2015.

 

These might be considered more of a Stroll than a  Sprint, as there will be
a top speed of 13-15 wpm for all participants.  And, both parties to
contacts must QSY to the speed of the slowest of the two.

 

We want to allow members the opportunity to be able experience the Sprint
atmosphere without having to be concerned about asking a faster op to QSY to
them or fighting to copy beyond their comfort zone.  

 

These new Sprints will be specially advertised and named to avoid confusion
with our regular Sprints.

 

I do hope that some of our long time Sprint ops will also participate in
these to help the newer folks along.

 

And, yes, the  participants in the four new Sprints will have their names
put in the bucket for the end of the year drawing.

 

Dates and more info will be posted to the reflectors, on our web site and on
our FISTS Facebook page as we finalize them.

I was doing a little check to see how closely folks actually read a post. 

 

I do well know it should have read "QRS".

 

Some folks responded to let me know my supposed error.  Some probably never
caught it.  Others scratched their heads and wondered who is that heading
our chapter.

 

And, one, provided me with a detailed explanation of the difference.

 

Sorry to mess with some folks minds.  Promise not to do it again, even
around April 1st.
