FISTS Members:
I did some analysis of the FISTS membership "Archive List" with
regards to prefixes.
There are 1129 unique prefixes of FISTS members including those
who are "Active", those who are "Lapsed" and the "Clubs":
115 - "0" Calls
133 - "1" Calls
125 - "2" Calls
130 - "3" Calls
117 - "4" Calls
105 - "5" Calls
102 - "6" Calls
111 - "7" Calls
99 - "8" Calls
91 - "9" Calls
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are 695 unique prefixes of the "Active" members:
63 - "0" Calls
83 - "1" Calls
69 - "2" Calls
81 - "3" Calls
80 - "4" Calls
69 - "5" Calls
68 - "6" Calls
62 - "7" Calls
68 - "8" Calls
52 - "9" Calls
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are 13 "Clubs" whose prefix is unique - that is different than any
"Active" or "Lapsed" member:
9A1, GB2, GC0, IQ0, JE7, KS9, MX0,
NB6, ND1, NJ2, NK3, RZ1, WC4
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are 10 "Active" Member Prefixes which are available for all 10 Call
Numbers:
AA, AB, K, KA, KB, KE, N, W, WA, WB
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are 15 "Lapsed" Member Prefixes which are available for all 10 Call
Numbers:
AA, AB, DL, K, KA, KB, KC, KD, KE, N, W, WA, WB, WD, WN
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are only 91 unique prefixes with "9" calls. One of which is a Club.
Of these 91 only 52 are unique prefixes of "9" calls of Active members.
Having QSO with 25 unique "9" prefixes will be quite an accomplishment.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With a little more than 4 months remaining in this 25 Anniversary Year we need
the propagation conditions to improve in order for any of us to get the Version
Three Prefix Award.
However, this morning at 1125 UTC I was quite amazed to work VK8MM on 30 Meters.
So, maybe things are getting better - Hi !
