Hi my friends, I have a question or concern regarding one of my CW Keys. I have a Vibroplex I exchanged with a friend for anotherone I had. He liked mine I liked his. On the one I got, there is some sort of and I quote "corrosion type" om a couple of areas. With strong respect to Vibroplex, on my chat with some friends on this issue, there a some folks that claim the company used "not that good at all " material when going thorugh the process of manufacturing and that is the reason why this descoloration on the metal has ocurred.

To let you folks have an idea on what I am trying to explain, suppose someone puts a piece of iron aoutside the house and it rains . Two days later, you might as well find that on the piece of iron, a rusty "chocolate like" color starts to drip or drain on any area. That is what I notice on some minor area at the key.

Any ideas on how to get this thing off? apart from packing the key and sending it over to the Vibroplex people?

Commnets appreciated.
