What's a couple good continental (lower 48 states) US places to order component parts online?

Last time I googled a place, and ordered from "Futurlec", they seemed to hide the fact that they were really in Australia and shipped from Thailand, even though I was led to believe the order was being placed with a US company or at least a US division of a foreign company.  But no.  

I was not at all happy with their service, and they were very very very slow to ship, and I got dinged pricey currency conversion charges in addition to an unfavorable rate-of-exchange.

Pre-internet days I used to buy from Jameco Electronics. Are they still good?
