  As to whether using /m is legal or not. The rule
states:

"No self-assigned indicator may conflict with any
other indicator specified by the FCC Rules or with any
prefix assigned to another country."

  When operating in the UK, you must use the m as a
prefix. We ID here in the states when mobile by using
m as a suffix. So where is the conflict?
