Well if it adds a couple hundred thousand hams to the roster I think it is a great opportunity! They can't possibly listen around and not get at least a little curious about CW.  Let's make it our action item to nudge them to "try it you'll like it"! But by all means be considerate and helpful! What these new HF hams do not need is a bad first impression!!


I am personally looking forward to helping a few to discover the thrill of a first CW contact. The "clandestine" nature of communicating in a language that most of the world does not understand yet it transcends the verbal language barrier.  What fun!
