I am unaware of a Ten-Tec 407 keyer. GHD makes a series of 407x single lever
keyer paddles, however.
I can live with almost any single-lever paddle. The one I currently like is
the Kent, but I did have a little Ten-Tec KR5 keyer with single paddle for a
really long time, and was able to send very fast with it. The one I had the
longest was the dual lever Ten-Tec KR50, but I never used it in Iambic mode.
Since parting with that one, since it flat-out fell apart, a long-term
experiment - an expensive one - began. I finally settled on the Kent. I am
just unhappy enough that I prefer using a bug, but even the bug I use most
is a bear to adjust and keep clean. I still have a lot of keyer paddles, and
would readily part with most of them. I'd keep the Kent and the Bencher.
Confusing? Yeah. There are pricey paddles out there which I am sure I'd find
just great, but I am beyond spending more money on this hobby.. I don't
"have money" any more.
