I agree with Eric! I use QRL? DE K3PID almost all the time. Even after
listening for maybe 1 - 2 minutes I still occasionally get a "C" at which
point I move up or down a few KHz and listen some more... Once I got "IT
COULD BE IF YOU LIKE DE (don't remember the call)" so we struck up a qso and
had a nice chat.

It's just plain courtesy! On 20 meters and above, you seldom hear both
parties especially if they aren't exactly zero beat. If I have my 250 Hz
filter in, I could miss the whole QSO!

By the way, dit dit dah dah dit dit in my handbook is "?" for general CW
use. It could be synonymous with "QRL?".

Just my opinion, free and worth every nickel!
