Happy Holidays all...From having almost 5 years learning CW on the air
so far, I agree with this post...To add...The first CW contact I had was
with a Fists member, who helped me through the QSO, I had no number to
give...Most Fists members are great that way.
When I became a Fists member, I didn't know number sending well, and
tended to avoid them to just 'get' through the QSO....Fists QSO's gave
me enough number practice to learn sending them better.
Another observation was I really enjoyed getting my CC, it was a
rewarding experience.
I think one part of enjoying CW is giving the other in the QSO at least
a little of what they want, or are looking for. You'll get alot in
return.
And I agree, at least for me especially in the beginning a small
exchange worked wonders for building on learning to QSO.
I highly recommend and support Fists, along with SKCC, and all of the
other CW groups out there. We need em all! 73's Mike KF6PVY
