[Fists] A Modest Proposal --- drop all the "numbers"

I just don't understand the fascination with "numbers".  

It started back in the 60's or 70's with ten-ten.  First you got ten-ten
"number" and then if you worked a bunch of other "numbers" you got another
"number".

Then along came the geratol net --- which didn't give you a number on
joining --- you had to "earn" your number by working only a select set of
stations who had certain types of call signs!  Then you could get yet
another "number" for working only those who had "numbers".

Numbers, numbers, numbers.....   Fists --- SKCC --- seems all anyone wants
anymore is my "numbers".  

I'm sick of it --- "OP HR IS HANS. MY NR IS BAH HUMBUG 0001".
