Here is the information that Jim, N9JZ provided me about his itinerary and
on-the-air plans for his trip around Alaska.  VRY 73 de Karl


I'm free as a bird to go anywhere at anytime as I please as I am
traveling alone
in Alaska. 

General info:

Arrive 10/1 Anchorage

Explore Kenai peninsula
Explore Valdez and Prince William Sound
Head north to Fairbanks
Rent a Jeep or other 4WD vehicle to head North into 2nd Judicial
District
(Probably not all the way to Prudhoe Bay due to time restrictions.
Return to Fairbanks, hop in car back to Anchorage.
FLY to Juneau, pick up rental car and explore the First Judicial
District.
Then fly back to Anchorage and Home on 10/15.

I am NOT afraid to put in 19 hour days on end to accomplish my goals.

General info... 20 SSB/CW County Hunters/FISTS until 0030 UTC, then
Century Club 
SSB/CW nets until ~ 0700, then FISTS 80/40 including Novice Bands until
???
Oct 7 and 14 are reserved for OMISS SSB all nets all night.

Will try to work 30M MOBILE into the mix, County Hunters/FISTS until 0030,
and after ~ 0700 UTC.
Will be running Hustler Mobile antennas and dipoles, both fed with antenna
tuners. 
Will also be on 160 SSB/CW portable/mobile if conditions look good into the
states.
BTW, I'm not a 35 WPM man...15 is more my speed with a straight key.

This is my FIRST trip to Alaska.
