[Fists] C2C clubs

Ok folks. Here's what I think happened in regard to the unlisted clubs that
joined in. During the period of October 18 to 21, I was not able to get
e-mail from the yahoo.com address I use for the contest. I have an account
there for which I pay 30 bucks a year. It's a "Yahoo Mail Plus" account and
unlike the free account that anyone can set up, a "plus" account gives you
the ability to remotely gather e-mail to your local e-mail client. So the
bottom line is, for the most part, the clubs that showed up for the contest
did in fact let me know via e-mail to the fistsc2c at yahoo.com address but I
never got them due to the glitch at yahoo mail. Maybe this is more detail
than most of you want to know, but I felt it necessary to explain how it
happened.

In any event, I have a better idea of the additional clubs that joined in.
I'll have an updated list on the web site soon.

I want to say a big "Thank You" the many folks who sent me private messages
in regard to the problem. Most understood and others don't think its a big
deal. I can tell you that, as the coordinator of this event, I was dreading
going to the computer this evening and reading e-mail. But the many kind
words of the FISTS who sent me messages revitalized my faith in hams and
FISTS in particular.

Look for updated club listings at
http://www.tomochka.com/k7fff/c2c2004/c2c2004clubs.htm in a couple of days.
Casey Bahr, the founder of the event, does the web stuff now and he has been
very good at getting my info on the C2C web site. Again, please don't turn
in your scores until you've had a chance to review the final list of clubs.
