I see that W8JK has passed on to the great beyond. I had the pleasure of meeting him
in 1978 when I worked for the FCC. I stopped by his unique Radio Telescope in
Delaware, Ohio after giving Radio License exams in Columbus. I dont think I knew
he was the Professor in Charge of this  antenna. After he introduced himself I
recogni-
zed his call and we discussed Ham Radio before he gave me the nickle tour. He told
me that he enjoyed CW but was not active at that time. He mentioned that too many
hams
play around with SSB and dont  do enough building. That was in 1978. I always
wondered if
he became active in his later years. Just visit the ARRL site and see what this guy
invented.
He was something and I am glad that I got to meet this famous Ham.

It pays to pull off the side of a highway and go look up the football field Radio
Antenna.
