After reading Chris G4PDJ's message about CWCom, and after hearing about it
from another source as well, I thought I'd check it out. While I don't think
it will replace actually getting on the air for me, I do think it's a very
cool thing.

As others have pointed out, it's a natural for the Code Buddies program.
Guys (and gals) can use it to communicate without the distractions of QRM,
QRN, and QSB and just concentrate on the code.

I was on earlier with Chris and another fellow and was able to copy them as
I puttered around with a project on the workbench. Again, this was possible
because it's a perfect signal and I could crank up the volume to copy while
I was working on something else. When it was my turn to transmit, I simply
put down what I was doing and sat down at my operating position.

I'm teaching a General class right now (including the code), and I'm hoping
to use this to communicate with the students. I think this will be a great
way for them to practice, and building the cables will be a nice little
construction project.

73!
