[Fists] More on ARRL Poll

Well, the truth is slowly coming out about the poll. Thanks to those who
sent me additional info.

One person who voted shortly before the poll was pulled said the 'ballot box
stuffing' was apparently by the anti-Morse forces. I'm glad of that because
it means the pro-Morse folks are honest, while the anti-Morsers will go to
any length to destroy Morse code.

It is interesting to note that in the early stages of the poll before the
stuffing, retaining Morse testing was in second place behind only the BPL
issue. This is what led me to believe that perhaps the ARRL was unhappy with
the large number of pro-Morse votes, and claimed it was because of 'ballot
box stuffing'. Obviously I was wrong.

The BPL issue is very important, and I felt it was wrong to include both BPL
and Morse retention on the same poll in the first place. After all if we
lose all of the ham bands to BPL, then the Morse issue is a moot point. I am
sure the BPL issue would have won the poll easily had it been conducted
properly. However, votes for retaining Morse testing on the poll would have
served to let ARRL know that this is also an important issue and shouldn't
be obscured by the overwhelming attention given to BPL.

It remains vitally important that if you believe that Morse code testing
should remain, you should let your ARRL representatives know your viewpoint.
I think the poll shows that the anti-Morse forces will indeed let their
views be known. Your opinion does count!
