Dan,
The FISTS Petition also allowed for no-code access to HF. However, it did
not allow for the automatic upgrade of no-code Technicians to General class.
It did not suggest giving up CW/digital subbands in favor of voice. It also
didn't suggest a 25-question (published questions and answers) for HF Phone
access. Unfortunately, the League's Petition went far beyond merely the
issue of HF access for no-code.
Why don't you share with us what you are doing to "preserve" Morse code.
Maybe your efforts will inspire those that just complain.
