To resign successfully (let us know if how you did it works), you should =
contact the proper person at HQ, to wit:

Some have resigned without success. So this is a far better way to do =
it.

State you are resigning, and a reason if you feel compelled to explain, =
Give them the info off your QST mailing label to verify you are who you =
say you are, Your Director will be notified of your decision. You should =
also ask for a refund of your unused dues, and if a life member, no harm =
in asking - I was not but the process took one working day. I cc:d K1ZZ. =
I used script font to "sign" the email, under which was my name in a =
printed font..

I am resigning from the ARRL membership, effective now. I request that =
my unused dues be refunded. This is not a subject for debate. It is a =
well-thought-out decision based on divers considerations.

I will back this up with USPS written mail if needed to authenticate =
this request. Please advise if this added step is necessary.
