Greg,

I think you should be pleased that you got a reply out of Dick Isley
at all. At least you know clearly where he stands.

I have written him no less than a dozen times in the last 20 months or
so without the courtesy of a single reply. I've written ARRL President
Haynie several times in that same period and while we seemingly don't
agree on many issues, he has always replied. Funny thing, he always
tells me to "be sure and send your views to your director" but as
mentioned above, for me, that's been as effective as sending my
comments directly to Old Man Maxim himself!

Isn't it fortunate for the ARRL that they suddenly have the BPL issue
to deflect attention away from this one?

"We can't argue about the code issue while BPL threatens all of
amateur radio"

Hmmmm. Seems to me that threats to amateur radio come in many forms,
and not all of them are from the "outside".

Hello Friends
ARRL Member: Yes at the moment (no renewal)
Division: Central
Polled by Division Director: No

While this was brewing I sent an email to the Central Div. director
strongly
protesting the dropping of CW testing. I received a rather
condesending reply
which ordered me to worry about BPL and the Fone was the cat's @@@.
