Steve,
    A couple of years ago I put a Ten-Tec Scout in my company truck;
primarily because of it's small size and ease to mount under the dash.
Never had any ignition noise problems. (This Scout had the noise
blanker).Antenna was an old ball/spring mount with a couple of Ham
Sticks available for my favorite bands. Used one of the mini-paddles and
a leg strap. It performed great and I worked a lot of dx during lunch (in
the parking lot) with the motor running. I never liked operating CW
mobile though; especially on the New Jersey Turnpike! When I was in
motion I usually worked SSB. I retired and, of course, removed the set-up
when I left the company. But now you got me thinking, maybe I'll install
it in my pickup truck!

73,
Dave
