Very nice. Unfortunately with the reduction of requirements to 5 wpm and=20
sooner or later possibly the dropping altogether of Morse, think of how many=
 would=20
be CW ops will never know if they like it or not, because they have either=20
learned just enough to "get by" or none at all. The common yelp among these=20=
poor=20
abused folks is that it is too hard etc etc, or it is an old mode no longer=20
needed. So is SSB, but the rush to "tyalk on the raydeeo" is stronger than t=
he=20
urge to learn something new. The down trodden will also tell you that's it's=
=20
too hard or, I can't hear the dits from the dashes, after having listened on=
=20
ONE Saturday afternoon. If a person is hearing impaired, how in the world ar=
e=20
they gonna copy the ducky sound of SSB covered with QRN/QRM. And if they thi=
nk=20
it's too hard before even the starting post is passed, they have already=20
defeated themselves. I wonder how far down it all has to sink before the eve=
n the=20
"gimmees' will realize that we gave away too much just for the sake of some=20
instant gratification. Unfortunately, all the crying, sobbing, NCI Group=20
Petitions, towel ringing, poor me, it's my RIGHT types, will not be able to=20=
change=20
things back. The bands are going to get REALLY punk shortly. Those of you wh=
o have=20
been around a spell longer than 7 years, know how bad it gets as we approach=
=20
the trough of the sun cycle. Low band gets better, but ya gotta be able to=20
copy thru all that durn static. Most folks now days do not have the room or=20=
dont=20
know how, to put up low band antenna equipment. Oh well.....maybe before thi=
s=20
is over, some really good used equipment will come up for sale. Especially=20
since it is obvious that the large publishing company in Newington, who dabb=
le in=20
ham radio, don't seem any too impressed with the "S" meter report on=20
