Thought some of you might like to know of Bill Perkins' trip to 
7Q-land.  Bill is KC4D, FISTS # 2709 who lives in Lynchburg, VA and is also 
a member of QCWA Old Dominion Chapter # 202.

He will miss out annual Chapter # 202 picnic at my home here at Smith 
Mountain Lake, so I had asked whether he would mind if I put the info about 
your trip to Malawi on the fists reflector ?

Stan,

I would be delighted for you to include the information on my anticipated 
operation.

I depart for Malawi in Southern Africa on Friday , September 12th for a 
little three week
mission trip with some Amateur Radio scattered in. Watch for my spot as 
7Q7WW on CW late evenings Eastern Time on 40 through 10 Meters with some 
low band work later in the month.

I'm hopeful to first be on the air from the Capital of Lilongwe by 15 
September, Monday evening Malawi time (GMT + 2 Hrs). We will be moving 
North to the Embangweni Mission complex on Wednesday, 17 September, where I 
expect to spend the remaining two and half weeks before returning to 
Lilongwe for outbound flight on 5 October. I have hopes to be active on 80 
and 160
Meter as well as the WARC bands CW from the mission compound if antenna 
conditions permit.
