The question at this point is bound to come up (I know I have to refresh my
memory on it each time): What the heck is the difference between Iambic
modes A and B?
Here is the answer:

Subject: [Fists] Iambic Keying
I use iambic keying, mode A, on a daily basis. I find mode B with its
"trailing dit" very clumsy; but it appears to be the default, and only, mode
on many rigs' built-in keyers.
May I suggest those of you who don't enjoy, or can't get the hang of
operating iambically, to try mode A. You'll soon wonder why you've gone so
long without it.
BTW: I use a 25-year-old Bencher and Logikit CMOS-4 keyer. Also in daily
use, E.F. Johnson Speed-X straight key. I switch to the Speed-X for
sub-20-wpm QSOs.
