Hi all...If you have read this...sorry. Another rerun. I have worked some
FISTS who somehow did not get or understand the patch thing and a few who are
wondering when we are on the air. I have posted the notice here twice, and
sent it to Keynote, but I don't know if it made in the 'note or not.(Why
don't I know?? Thats another story all it's own) Anyway, K8FST has currently
5 members who have been asked to participate. All these folks, save one, are
working day jobs, so their time is limited of course. So, we are scattered
around at various times. I personally try to get on at least on Sunday using
20 and 15, and evenings for a short time on 40. Dave, WT8R usually works 20
and I believe 15 at times during the day. He is currently up to his elbows in
a new amplifier project, and spends a lot of time in his shop. The other ops
time scheds are random and I was told at our breakfast meeting this morning
that they are planning to be on the air more. We have worked a lot of FISTS,
but the QSL input is not that high at this point. I have sent out I believe
two bundles, and a third will go Monday. If we run out of patches, we will
get more so no one who responds will go without. Any way, I hope this answers
most questions. I have answered all email rcvd to this point, and all QSL's
rcvd at this point. 73 all....here's the rerun and hope to work you on the
air....................73...........Al/W8FAX

Work K8FST and get a patch........During a two month period, commencing on
Jan 1st, 2003, the first fifty operators who QSO K8FST (The Fairborn FISTS CW
Club) are eligible to receive one of the new FISTS patches for the cost of a
couple of stamps. This offer will continue until the end of February 2003.
All you have to do is QSO the club call, K8FST. Then send a QSL card to the
CBA along with a stamped, self addressed envelope. After we check our logs,
we will send you a club QSL card and a patch. That's all there is to it.
Contacts made with any of our club members on any band (CW only) are eligible
for this offer. If we go over the 50 QSO target during the time we have
allotted, we will get more patches. Everyone who works us, is in the log, and
sends an envelope will get a patch. NO EQSL's or email requests PLEASE. We
will not take requests for schedules, so you will have to "scan the bands"
for us. Take a look at the patch at
http://www.fists.org/New_FISTS_Patch_sm.jpg. Our QSL card sure ain't much,
but these patches are a work of ART and you will want one for sure. Please
note....when you work K8FST, send your card to the CLUB CBA. If you want a
QSL from the member himself, please send your request/card separately thru
the buro or other means. Requests for QSL cards other than K8FST will NOT be
handled. QSL/Patch requests must be in our little fingers by the end of
March. Have fun, and hope to work you during January or
February................................Questions should be addressed to
K8FST @aol.com. Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to all from the members of
K8FST...The Fairborn FISTS CW Club 73
Please note that this offer does NOT include contacts made during FISTS
SPRINTS. That is a seperate event...........73
